Designing my Mars Lander I have done lots of things to my mars lander as i am progressing in my work making my rover better.

 I have learned today how to put suspension into my rover and also giving it a cab and a camera holder. I am now discovering how to make a drill on the front of my lander and also to put arms on it. The Prototype My design worked well it started with 3 wheels and now we are adding 4 wheels because when we drove it with 3 wheels all it wanted to do was do donuts so we are adding 4 wheels for stability and that they so can also turn.

 Mars Rover Simulation I learned how to control and help other use and get use to the mars rover. Hypothesis My mars lander will be able to be flexible and solid so that is will get over the planet mars no problem. I have added bigger springs and bigger wheels to my rover to give it more ground height. I have also added a carry bin and also a camera to see where i am going and a bin to put things I find in.

 From this we came up with a Mission Our Mission to Mars is…. To locate if there is any life on mars and if humans could live there one day, and to get pictures of mars.

 how it started I started learning how to drive a mars rover when I started with the Sphero driving it around then we built a lego model of a rover and we controlled that then we started playing a game on the desk top and learned to control it with codes.

 robotics I really enjoined robotics this term it was really fun the teacher Ms Chowfin was really nice a very helpful i will pick this as one of my future subjects.

this term we have been learning about basic algebra my friends Jamie Alex and i have been working together on these equations and we have been doing good work on them. we have a hapara work space where we will find all of our work on there. thanks to miss halls for teaching us our algebra skills.

hero cycle

 This term in English we have been working on the movie hero cycle. We worked in pairs to pick and write about a movie Jamie and i picked the new movie it it involves a clown and lots of kids. Here is the hero cycle of ours so have a look at our one.

The stages of the hero cycle is the status quo, the call to adventure, the assistance, the departure, the trials, the approach, the crisis, the treasure, the result, the return, the new life, the resolution , the status quo. also we have been doing a starting of class thing called the big question in this we have a question and we have to write our thoughts on it.

Punakaiki inland Pack track

On a wet day we went out in the rain and the storm we were walking the Inland pack track.
We were cold and wet with mighty buckets of water coming down like a water fall.
We learnt about trees that you can eat,  bush craft and how to make a hut out of nothing
our huts were made out of nothing with room only for two and it was quite water proof while the girls were under a tarpaulin.
So we walked for about 3 and 1/2 hours and finally we were out we got dry cloths on but it was a really great day.

Procedural Writing

WALT/ Write a procedural text and use screencastify.

 I had to re-craft the video and then i practiced my moves and what i was going to say and  then we started our steps writing step 1,2,3,4,5
then we were ready to make our video so we went outside with a partner and recorded each other.

Reflection i have enjoyed this experience to do this video and have the opportunity to post it on my blog
i would of loved to do it outside but the wind made it difficult but other than that i would use screencastify again.
